Duct leakage will reduce the air quantity in a system and also the efficiency with which it operates. The proper installation and sealing of ductwork can cut leakage down which results in a substantial operating cost savings. Duct Leakage is calculated by pressurizing ductwork to a predetermined static pressure based on specifications provided by SMACNA, then calculating the amount of Cubic Feet/Minute passing through an orifice plate. Based on the ductworks ability to hold a specific level of static pressure the test is the given a passing or failing mark.
With our duct pressure testing methods we are able to quickly identify leaks and assist the contractor to efficiently remedy them.
