Duct Leakage is calculated by pressurizing ductwork to a predetermined static pressure based on specifications provided by SMACNA, then calculating the amount of Cubic Feet/Minute passing through an orifice plate. Based on the ductworks ability to hold a specific level of static pressure the test is the given a passing or failing mark.
