Duct Leakage Testing
Duct leakage will reduce the air quantity in a system and also the efficiency with which it operates. The proper installation and sealing of ductwork can cut leakage down which results in a substantial operating cost savings. Duck leakage testing is done by calculating the duct leakage by pressurizing ductwork to a predetermined static pressure based on specifications provided by SMACNA, then calculating the amount of Cubic Feet/Minute passing through an orifice plate. Based on the ductworks ability to hold a specific level of static pressure the test is the given a passing or failing mark.
With MTI's duct pressure testing methods we are able to quickly identify leaks and assist the contractor to efficiently remedy them. Our certified technicians will provide you with a easy to read report that will detail where your building may have issues.
